Earth Native Wilderness School

Updated: April 7, 2019

Founded in 2011 in Austin, TX, Earth Native Wilderness School helps students build lifelong connections to the outdoors. We do this through offering unique, fun, and informative courses that not only enliven and but also lead our students down an incredible path of discovery and greater self-reliance.

The school offers numerous courses and guided nature experiences that facilitate connection to nature and the outdoors in students of all ages. Courses offered by Earth Native Wilderness School include: wilderness survival, self-reliance, sustainability education, appreciation for and stewardship of natural systems, wildlife ecology and tracking, animal behavior, edible and medicinal plant studies, land navigation, rite of passage, natural building techniques, knowledge of place, sensory awareness, primitive hunting, indigenous living skills, and mentoring.

Wild Life Forest Preschool at Earth Native Wilderness School is Central Texas’s first true forest preschool. Set in the hardwood forests of Bastrop, along beautiful Cedar Creek, our forest preschool offers children ages 3-5 the chance to take their first steps towards long-term nature connection. Join our team and help kids build strong life-long connections to the outdoors.
