Updated: May 8, 2002

Montecito Sequoia Lodge, located in the southern Sierra Nevada near Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, is open year round as both a Summer Family Vacation Camp and a Winter Cross Country Ski Resort, offering top-quality family adventure and skiing vacations. Montecito Sequoia is nestled in an area bursting with natural beauty, that offers a combination of quality amenities, wonderful staff, comfortable informal environment and a wide variety of activities.
A superb location: Montecito Sequoia Lodge, at 7500 ft., is a winter dreamland with 35km to 85 km of groomed Cross Country Ski trails, Snow tubing hill with Handle Tow, Snowshoeing Tours, Snow Sculpture, and experienced PSIA qualified staff. Our superb location nestled between two National Parks; Kings Canyon and Sequoia, offers spectacular scenery and mountain vistas of the Great Western Divide. As An Outdoor Education Camp we have developed a new “Winter Adventure Program” geared for the Homeschool Community. This new exciting dynamic program offers a variety of “choices” combining academics and recreation. It focuses on developing a love for learning and an intellectual curiosity, with hands on experience in Nature Observation, Tracking, Survival, and Team Building. This program is organized to include instruction for BOTH parents and their children, ages 8-16. Everything is in one place – you ski from the steps of the Lodge! It’s like “being at home in the mountains”.
Montecito’s Family Vacation Camp is an award winning family resort in the southern Sierra Nevada, 60 miles east of Fresno, California. Families have been returning year after year, always finding something new for the whole family. Our carefully chosen, well-qualified camp counselor staff safely facilitate a wide variety of activities for all ages.
Choose daily from a sail on our private lake, a fencing lesson, or a guided hike in Kings Canyon or Sequoia National Parks. Children are divided into age groups and choose from arts and crafts, gymnastics, archery, the list goes on and on. Families reunite for meals and family activities each evening, such as family dances and talent shows. Become a part of a summer program that brings families closer together!
