Night Eagle Wilderness Adventures

Updated: December 22, 2004

Night Eagle Wilderness Adventures, located on 140 forested acres and completely surrounded by the Green Mountains of Vermont,is a unique primitive summer camp for 40 boys, ages 10-14. In camp there are only tipis, a fully equipped food shelter, and a semi-permanent structure used for group gatherings. For swimming canoeing and exploring, there are two beautiful lakes and our own wetland.

Night Eagle exists to introduce the youth of today to the wonders of nature and to offer them that rare moment in which they can slow down, escape the modern world of television and video games, and discover new aspects in the meaning of life.

Activities at Night Eagle spring from the environment and teach boys to rely on their own ingenuity.Boys develop an authentic sense of personal accomplishment as they step back in time, live in tipis, canoe, backpack, start fires with flint & steel, identify wild edibles, throw tomahawks and atlatls, learn survival skills, cook over an open fire, play games and much more! Through community living and group decision making, campers learn to work and play together in a spirit of cooperation rather than competition. 2, 3, 4, and 6 week sessions. Accredited by the American Camping Association.
