Established in 1994, Northwest Service Academy strengthens communities by partnering with more than 250 schools, community-based organizations and government agencies to address significant environmental issues in the states of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. NWSA projects address critical environmental needs through hands-on environmental restoration, resource conservation, environmental education, environmental stewardship or volunteer programs and much more!

We do this by engaging 400 part & full-time AmeriCorps members and countless community volunteers in service, education & civic engagement activities.

Our goal is to form a corps of informed, active adults trained and committed to addressing environmental, educational, and community concerns, and to do this effectively on publicly important lands and waters, in schools and in the communities we serve.

Part and full-time AmeriCorps service positions start in October 2004, January/February 2005 and mid-spring 2005.
