Northwest Youth Corps is an innovative non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for youth and young adults to learn, grow, and experience success. We operate outdoor programs that help youth develop critical life skills; focusing on education, challenge, leadership, community, and empowerment. NYC programs include intensive 5 week residential conservation corps crews, local community corps crews, youth day camps, a fully accredited outdoor high school, and a 2 acre organic farm. Youth in our programs gain essential job skills like a solid work ethic, teamwork skills, and perseverance as well as academic credit. Youth graduate NYC having made new friends, earned a paycheck or a diploma, and better prepared to meet their life’s goals. NYC crews work throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Northern California, and Arizona on resource management projects like trail maintenance, non-native weed eradication, and stream restoration. These projects benefit our public lands while helping to develop the next generation of citizen stewards. Northwest Youth Corps is supported by fee for service work with federal, local and non-profit partners as well as foundation and individual donation support. NYC is open to all youth looking to make a difference.
