Pathfinder Ranch Outdoor Education School

Pathfinder Ranch is a private, nonprofit organization affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Springs. Location: 4500 feet, near Idyllwild, in the mountains above Palm Springs, 1 1/2 hours from San Diego. Our 72 acre camp borders the San Bernardino National Forest and is well suited for the outdoor activities that are taught during our outdoor education school. Classes include freshwater, forest and animal ecology, entomology, ethnobotany, geology, rock-climbing, canoeing, archery, team building, survival skills, nature observation, horse back riding, archaeology, orienteering and more. Pathfinder serves both public and private schools from southern California, primarily 5th & 6th grades, during 3 – 5 day residential programs. Our season runs from early September – early June.
