Looking for the excitement and passion of an overnight camp, but with the freedom of a day camp? Located 45 minutes from Philadelphia, ACA accredited Westtown School Summer Camps is a traditional day camp offering a variety of programs such as organic farming, forest exploration, high and low ropes, swim lessons, Turkish metalsmithing, archery, canoeing, and athletics. Campers range in age from 4-12, with a leadership training option for 13 and 14-year-olds. Counselors plan unique all-camp events each week, and every session ends with a home-made brick oven pizza and slip-and-slide picnic. Featured summer job openings include Lead Counselors (plan, coordinate and lead activities, guide campers in personal growth and community engagement, and manage 3-4 counselors) and Program Specialists (create fun and engaging programming for groups of 15-30 campers in 45 to 90-minute blocks). We are particularly looking for a Ropes Course Director and Ropes Course Facilitators. Staff training runs June 11th-15th, with work from June 18th-August 10th. A typical workweek is MO-FR, 8-4:30, 35-50 hours/week. Compensation starts at $15/hour, with additional pay for advanced skills and certifications. Housing is offered, meals are provided while camps are in residence, WiFi is accessible on the main campus, and the fitness center and athletic facilities are available when not being used by campers.
