The Wolverine Outdoor Education Center has been serving students from across Michigan and beyond for over 40 years. Our center is located in the Sturgeon River Valley just 30 minutes South of the famous Mackinaw Bridge. With over 360 acres of private land and access to over 15,000 acres of State land, our lodge and camp facilities have a unique historical connection in the state. We have a three season Outdoor Education Center and full summer camp program. Our outdoor education staff is comprised of both local educators who look for the chance to teach in the out-of-doors as well as seasonal staff facilitators hand chosen to excite students about the natural world around them. Our program classes offered to schools range from great winter activities including winter rafting on the Sturgeon river to Cross Country Skiing through our pristine Cedar forest. Pond study and stream monitoring in the spring gives students the chance to see the natural world come to life. Even the fall season brings great opportunities to explore the outdoors and enjoy the colors of the season while challenging students on our teambuilding courses, and high ropes course. Our complete program options are available on our website at www.wolverinecamps.com and if you are interested in being a part of our staff see our job posting here at Outdoor Ed.com or contact us directly.
