The Orange County Department of Education has a division called “Inside the Outdoors.” Outdoor Science School is part of that division. OSS is a week-long residential science study program placing emphasis on earth and life sciences, environmental study, and related activities, which enrich normal classroom programs for participating fifth and sixth grade students. All curriculum is alligned with California State 5th and 6th grade Science Standards. The program serves students starting mid-September and runs through mid-June. Students visit us from Orange County, Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, & some surrounding areas. We have 5 amazing sites located in the San Bernardino Mountains, all within 45 minutes of beautiful Big Bear Lake.
